Gen Hagiwara

Origami artist, designer

 

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.

After 11 years of living in Australia, moved to Japan for main activity.

Started folding at age of five.

Mainly works on the nature theme, especially animals. Known for making unique designs full of characters.

Has exhibited and taught origami in Japan, Australia, USA, Spain, France, Philippines and Taiwan.

東京都出身。

5歳の頃より折り紙をはじめる。

11年間オーストラリアに滞在。現在は国内を主に活動。

主に動物を中心とした生きものをテーマにした作品を創作し、個性的で活き活きとした作風に定評がある。

日本、オーストラリア、アメリカ、スペイン、フランス、フィリピン、台湾等で折り紙の展示、講習を行う。
